ACAF Awards School Grants

At their October Board meeting, the Arts Foundation approved three grants to support the arts in American Canyon. The total of the three grants was $1000.

The first grant went to the ACHS Drama Program for $400. The funds will be used to help produce winter one-act plays written, produced and performed by students. They will be presented at the High School Theater on January 31-February 1.

The second grant went to the ACHS Art Program for $200. The proceeds will help upgrade their Art Gallery and to purchase art equipment, such as easels.

The third grant went to provide an Awareness Through Art program at Donaldson Way Elementary School. The amount of the grant was $400 and will go towards art supplies. Awareness Through Art incorporates art with mindfulness.

Each year, the Foundation offers grants to our local schools and scholarships to our graduating High School Seniors. The more we raise through events such as the Art Extravaganza, the more we can help future artists. If you would like to help, you can make a donation of any amount here.
