
Community Mosaic Workshop Dates
Now that we have our artwork complete, we're starting the community part! We are making great progress on the first (of three) panels, and have lined up a number of workshops. We'll update this post as we add more! Remember, everyone is invited to help us build this mosaic mural to be installed on the exterior wall of the new Boys & Girls Clubhouse in American Canyon. Updated Policy for our Welcome Center Gallery
We recently updated our guidelines for showing your art at the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce's Welcome Center. Member Cherol Ockrassa is now managing this program. We are also talking about adjusting the length of member shows, or even combining multiple artists. More frequent receptions are on the table for discussions, too! Let us know! Results of the Membership Meeting
On Tuesday, May 14, we held a special membership meeting to discuss the Mission, Vision and Values of the Arts Foundation. We also discussed what goals, projects and priorities we should pursue. It was a lively discussion, with ACAF President, Patti Krueger, welcoming the members and providing a brief overview. Congratulations to our 2019 Scholarship Winners!
Each year the Arts Foundation awards scholarships to ACHS Seniors who want to pursue a career in the Arts. For the last two years, we have awarded two, $500 awards. This year's winners are Robyn-Elizabeth Yan and Mailani Bull. Robyn-Elizabeth Yan earned a 4.0 GPA and is active in sports, drama and Link Crew. She wants a career in Film & Television. She was a Valedictorian for her class and put in over 100 hours of community service, including the City's Coastal Cleanup, the
