Middle Eastern Event a Sellout Success!

Very Proud to announce we had almost 100 people attend our first Arts & Culture event. Thanks to grants from the City of American Canyon, the Arts Council Napa Valley and Council member Mariam Aboudamous and her family, we learned about Arab culture, little known facts about Muslims in American History as well as in the Middle East, and what Ramadan really means.

There was a great question and answer period, followed by a traditional Arab dinner, thanks to Mariam's mom!! Thank you to Hatem Bazian, our guest speaker, and to all the Board members who helped set up and put on the event!! And an even bigger thanks to Board member Lynn Dykstra of Focused Images and Robin Craig for the photos!!

In the coming months, we will host events highlighting the Latino, Filipino and African American cultures. We will partner with established groups, such as the FilAm Club of American Canyon, whenever possible.
